WOW check out all the GOLD!! They are truly exquisite! The plates have been intricately embossed with cartouches and scrolling designs in coin gold. They makers have chosen a brilliantly white background for the center and have hand painted Dresden like floral pattern of dark pink, white and orange poppy like flowers in the center. These are stunning and would make wonderful decorating pieces. Pickard Studio’s are very well know for their gold encrusted method of painting porcelain and these two plates are a wonderful example of just that! There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc
