Gorgeous Limoges Porcelain 12 3/4 '' Charger / Tray ~ Hand Painted ~ Art Nouveau with Red Roses ~ Limoges France After 1891

What a find! This is an amazing art nouveau design and beautifully done. The charger has a scalloped edge that is painted with roman coin gold. Underneath the gold rim is a band of a soft olive green outlining the curvature of the gold rim. Six gold niches outlined in green have been painted around the inside of the rim. Inside the each niche the artist has painted a red rose on a green stem with leaves. Around the roses he has used the paint brush tip and has filed in the area with small golden dots. In between the rose niches the artist has used the same olive green color and put a rose branch with leaves. The design has been painted on a background of brilliant white that absolutely makes it pop! There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc

Backstamp: Limoges France Mark 6 used after 1891.
