Adorable Limoges Porcelain Plates ~ White and Pink Floral Spray with Life Like Bird ~ A. Lanternier & Co 1891-1914

This design is done on one of A. Lanternier exquisitely shaped china molds that they are so well known for. It has elegant raised relief work on the border, which has been delicately sponge painted with gold to highlight the raised-relief details of the porcelain. The floral design is done in the 'mixtion method' china painting which is a combination of hand decorated and hand painted artwork. The wonderful life like bird has been beautifully hand painted. Plate is in excellent condition and just a joy to behold. If you are not a bird lover you will be after you see this wonderful plate!
