This is a MOST gorgeous antique Limoges porcelain dresser tray with masterfully hand painted fully bloomed burgundy and yellow cabbage roses. Dubois has chosen to place one lone yellow rose amongst four absolutely gorgeous burgundy roses making it really stand out. He has added gray green muted leaves on burgundy stems softening the ever boldness of the roses yet tying them in with them. The roses are encircled with an array of magenta, blue-green and yellow background colors. This mold has a slightly scalloped edge and a wide rim that has painted with roman coin gold. He has used his brush to make brush strokes from the rim onto the body of the tray which really accents this wonderful masterpiece. Dubois artist's signatures are one of the most sought after by collectors. Dubois is featured and listed as a well known French artist in Mary Gaston's reference book: 'Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain' 3rd edition. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing! A must have for any collector or just lover of hand painted porcelain!!
