This is a FABULOUS Vintage souvenir bracelet that was purchased to commemorate a 'once in a lifetime' trip to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. C.1950-1960 costume charm bracelet is BRIGHT silver-tone metal (rhodium finish?) and features a fold-over clasp.

There are 7 UNIQUE Charms dangling from the link bracelet - a white enameled disk charm with a race car and 'Indianapolis Motor Speedway' in Silver lettering in the center. Three of the charms are 3 Dimensional... a VERY COOL Race Car, The State Capitol building (?) and a Spark Plug!! The other charms are a Pair of Checkered Flags with "500" above, a Formula One Racing Car & a Tire with Wings on either side and "500" on the tread.

** Initially the 2.5 mile circuit was constructed to provide a means of testing and developing new American car designs. It was the brainchild of Carl Fisher, an early car salesman. In partnership with Jim Allison, Frank Wheeler and Arthur Newby he pushed ahead with his plans & by 1909 the track was ready. The inaugural Indianapolis 500 took place on Memorial Day, 1911. **

UNCOMMON INDY 500 automobile racing bracelet MEASURES ~7 1/4 Inches Long and is NOT Flimsy! It has no markings to indicate its Mfr. and is in VERY GOOD CONDITION! …NO DAMAGE or Excessive Wear - looks as good as the day it was originally purchased!
