SALE Victorian Hand Carved Mother-of-Pearl Ornament

Recently purchased from an estate sale this hand carved Mother-of-Pearl ornament dates from the late 1800s, the center of the piece is smooth and curved with small carved beading then a scalloped edge, it measures a little over 2 inches by 3 inches and has two metal loops attached to the back of the piece so that it could be sewn on to an item such as a hat or clothe belt. Since the piece is hand carved there are slight irregularities in the design, I have thoroughly inspected the piece and there are no chips or cracks as it is in excellent condition, the only signs of age are the tarnished metal loops. This will be a great piece to help restore a Victorian garment or to add to a collection of Victorian items of interest. Any darkness in the photos are shadows, the piece has even coloring.
