Royal Nippon Nishiki Vase

Beautiful early 20th century Nippon vase! This is a tall, two-handle handpainted vase which is marked on the bottom in green "Royal Nippon" circling a globe with "Nishiki" across the globe in banner form. It is marked "Hand Painted" in blue below the globe mark. The vase has a scene of an arab on camelback in a desert surrounded by palm trees, mountains, and a tent. The camel scene is popular with Nippon collectors. The palm trees are done in heavy moriage. The background of the vase is a matte color and the figures are done in a shiny enamel. Some mild crazing, mostly visible on the handles and a small chip on bottom of vase. Some minor wear of gold finish on handles. Not a common pattern to find! Size: 12.5" H, 20.5" circumference, open diameter is 4" and base is 3.75". Buyer pays shipping, handling & insurance.
