Nippon porcelain vase Art Nouveau hand painted, circa 1900-1908. We have 18 other Vases listed. This vase is 7 1/2" tall, body is 3 1/2" diameter, pedestal base is 2 1/8". It is marked on the bottom with Nippon Porcelain, backstamp is green M in wreath. Colors of the vase are soft pale green body, hand painted cherry blossoms which are gold relief outlined as well as gold leaf detailing of the leaves. There is a 1 1/4" border at the throat with diaper pattern of two flowers on the front and 1 large one on the back. The pattern is reminiscent of a window pane; there are enamel beads in the diamond design and large oval enamel beads painted in the flower designs. See photos. The gold leafing is excellent. Condition is mint, no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
