Opulence, wealth, riches....this necklace whispers each word. 92 carats of grade AAA+ kyanite rondelles, faceted and graded in size from 3mm to 5mm, provide the structure for the design. This kyanite is saturated with color that ranges from paler to darker cobalt...the stones have been mistaken for sapphires...they are translucent and full of sparkle. The centrepiece of the necklace features 16 carats of rare Imperial topaz almond briolettes. Faceted and rich with natural (not dyed) colour, these stones mingle intimately as they move toward the gorgeous South Sea pearl which sits at the centre. This cultured salt-water pearl is natural in color, and beautifully matches the golden hue of the topaz. A substantial pearl (10.2 x 11.5mm), it has smooth lustre, beautiful orient, and several growth rings. Solid 18K gold details lend gravitas to the sparkling gemstones: lacy cups holding the pearl, granulated double cubes separating topaz from kyanite, beautiful s-clasp inset with a small faceted blue sapphire.
