This Black Americana linen postcard has a little girl who is such a sweetie pie, carrying her tiny look-alike baby doll, looking shy and sad. Her toe has a bandaged boo boo and the text under her portrait reads: 'Ah's very black But also blue~'Cause ah's got no one To be nice to!' Published by Curt Teich 'C.T. Art-Colortone' for A. Hirschwitz, New Orleans Louisiana with card number 255 in upper right front corner. The card is in Excellent condition, mailed in New Orleans to Minneapolis on September 6, 1943. One cent green George Washington right facing profile stamp is in tact, cancelled with message 'Buy War Savings Bonds & Stamps' in rectangle. Light small smudge on linen front not affecting image. No wear or damages. Shipped in a rigid sleeve and waterproof mailer for a safe journey.
