Beautiful circa 1910 Raphael Tuck Woodland Santa embossed postcard, entitled 'Best Christmas Wishes'. A white robed Santa with very long, curly beard is hiking through the snowy forest with his walking stick, a huge pack on his back filled with toys. A darling baby doll is perched on the top and peeks out of the sack. Bright rays of light burst across the sky behind him, the dark blue night sky is filled with golden stars. Stamped in brown ink with the 'Art Publishers to The King and Queen', Royalty cartouche, and name of series 'Christmas Postcards' with Series design number #102. The Tuck Oilette symbol in bottom left verso corner. Earliest Tuck's stamp box with easel and palette. A solid, super clean card in Very Good condition. The card has one chipped missing (bottom left) tip and very slight impressions to the other three corners from mounting (seen when turned into the light). No writing and has not been mailed. Verso is light ivory in color. Shipped in a rigid sleeve and waterproof mailer for a safe journey.
