Wonderful and whimsical hard to find PFB (Paul Finkenrath, Berlin) Black Americana postcard, Series 7179, printed in Germany. The card depicts a lovely dressed black lady, all dolled up with her big bow-tied feathered hat, hand fan and white gloves, along with the quote "Oh, de rudeness of de men when dey see a handsome darkie!". The card is featured and pictured in the 'Black Post Card Price Guide' by J.L. Mashburn, part of a Series of six cards by PFB. The embossed divided back card is in excellent condition, with only a bit of wear to the corners, with slight crease along the top right front edge near the tip. Mailed from Hopkinton, Iowa to Spencer, Iowa on October 21 1911. Stamp is affixed and cancelled. PFB cartouche and Series number is at the lower right corner of the verso. A clean, solid card. Shipped in a rigid sleeve and waterproof mailer for a safe journey.
